Chocolate-Banana-Oat Cookies

Ingredients

1 c sugar
3/4 c shortening
1 egg
1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 3/4 c quick-cooking or regular oats
1 c mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3 medium)
1/2 c milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Heat oven to 400. Mix all ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about ten minutes or until light brown. About 4 dozen cookies.
